Top 13+ Rage Scenes in Anime

There is one type of epic scene that we can all agree on is E P I C no matter what show or what character is the center of. This is the rage scene in Anime. The scene where the character loses their mind and goes all out to destroy their enemies while not caring about consequences.

I listed 15 of my personal favorite rage moment and give them points based on:

• Rage Level (20 points),
• Fight (10 points),
• Character Going Out of Control (10 points).

With this point system, I hope you will have a better understanding of why I ranked this moment in this order. Finally, please consider the fact that this is my personal opinion, and if your favorite anime rage moment is not on the list that means I didn't think that rage moment was cool enough or I haven't seen the show. But who knows.

15. Dragon Ball Super
Vegeta vs Beerus

If I can give you advice then you should never hit Sayian's wife and it is also true if you are an omnipotent God. Because even if Vegeta is one of the most selfish people in the franchise, he won't appreciate this kind of action.

We can see it when Beerus, the God of Destruction, hits Bulma, then Vegeta uses all of his power to fight back even though he knows he has no chance against Beerus but he still needs to protect his girl. Saiyan pride or it can be more of that…

14. Akame ga Kill - Tatsumi vs Aria

This anime starts as a classic fantasy where the main character and his crew go on an adventure to save his village, but they got separated and their meeting was not pleasant. But first let's see our main character, Tatsumi. In the first episodes, he seems like a rational, naive kid like a typical good guy in a show, until he meets again his crew. He found them in bad shape after they were tortured by a rich girl named Aria from the capital only because she can.

We can think he'll put this girl in prison or something like that but turns out, this guy is not typically too good of a hero either. He raged out and killed the Aria in an instant, making this fight short but still one of the CRAZIEST, and EPIC moments in the whole anime.

13. Attack on Titan - Eren vs Female Titan (Annie)

Eren is almost angry all the time, but what happens when he gets really, really angry? In the first season when the most elite team got the mission to protect Eren but they get wiped out by the Female Titan.

That was the moment when Eren said that's enough and all he could think of was to kill the female titan. Unfortunately, this is why he got his ass kicked, also, because he couldn't think rationally. His fighting could be dodged easily. Why didn't he defend himself at all? Well, this is a perfect example that shows sometimes it is not enough if you just get angrier.

12. Demon Slayer - Tanjiro vs Rui

What could be one of the epic ways in an anime show? Well, non-other then when the usually calm main character gets seriously angry like in this show. When Tanjiro gets to face a real strong demon who killed a lot of demon slayers and tortured them.

Tanjiro couldn't keep his cool when he finally meets with the demon who caused all of these bad deeds. His name was Rui. The youngest son of the spider family and he was also holding the position of the Lower Moons, which means that he was one of the strongest demons out there.

Sadly, it seemed like Tanjiro wasn't strong enough to beat him, but when the demon threatened to kill his little sister, Nezuko, he lost every bit of coolness in his body and in his blade. Dang. Demon Slayer's first season was surely one hell of a ride.

11. Fairy tail -Natsu vs Future Rogue

Natsu is also a type of protagonist who can get angry easily, so we can make a list only about that, but in the series, there was a particular time when he got really serious. So I won't get into details because there is some time-traveling.

The important thing is that Lucy, Natsu's friend, came back from the future to warn her friends about Rogue's plans. She succeeded, but later Future Rogue killed Future Lucy.

Natsu doesn't care if someone hurts his friend, he takes that fight very seriously,even more because someone tried to kill his friend in the future. These sorts of moments would really get you hyped up.

10. Goblin Slayer - Goblin Slayer vs Hobgoblin

He seems like an ordinary guy in armor but in reality, he is the most dangerous person if you are a goblin. This strange man became famous by accepting only goblin quests. He does this because he has some old memories about this green monster and they are not very pleasant.

Not pleasant enough that a goblin horde killed everyone in his village including his big sister. After that accident, his goal is to kill every goblin in existence.

So, when he went on a quest with his party but got into a trap, he did not hesitate to fight goblins even in a hopeless situation. Even when all his organs were destroyed and he couldn't even stay still, he still killed goblins starting with the biggest one. He is one of the "too angry to die" people.

9. Kill La Kill - Ryuko vs Nui

Ryuko from Kill La Kill is an always angry girl. So, if she is always angry then the whole series is her rage moment? I guess so! Well, not really or if that was the case then it would be quite a boring candidate for this list. Ryuko is always angry and takes most of her fights seriously but there was one moment when she instantly lost her mind.

When she met the person who killed her father, a cute little girl with an umbrella named Nui. Ryuko quickly went into attack mode and raged out. She basically started attacking her to kill her.

8. Dororo - Hyakkimaru vs Samurai

When you can't see, can't hear, and you don't have all of your limbs and skin, you appreciate anyone who is kind to you. I hope everything is fine with you but the main character of this anime is not. His body was sacrificed to demons when he was little and now he wants to take them back, but before that, he found a little family with a girl who was at a similar age as him.

Later, she was killed by samurais because she offered some "special" services to the enemy samurai for money which she really needed. When Hyakkimaru found this out, he raged out and brutally killed all the samurai. He may not have arms but have some blades. So, Hyakkimaru is more dangerous than you think. Even Dororo got a little bit scared of him.

7. Naruto - Naruto vs Sasuke

Quite nostalgic, isn't it? I think most of us remember this epic moment from our childhood, but if you don't, let me tell you. Naruto's fight against Sasuke was EPIC. The main beef happened so Sasuke won't leave the village but he had his reason to leave because he could get stronger with the help of Orochimaru.

First, we can say Sasuke was stronger but then Naruto got real serious and used some chakra from Kyuubi (9 Tail). This was the point when Sasuke thought he got into some trouble because Naruto got a little bit angry at him and beat him up. But don't worry, Sasuke got his cursed mark which can make him stronger and he also got angry at Naruto for not letting him go.

In the end,  this fight is about two angry teenage boys trying to figure out who is the angriest… I mean the strongest.

6. Naruto Shippuden - Obito vs Mist Ninja

A person who sees his loved one die right in front of his eyes would definitely lose his cool. So, that's why we aren't surprised when Obito got really angry at the Mist ninja who attacked the only girl he loved in his life, Rin.

He got really lucky because he got some new powers somehow. So, he easily killed a bunch of enemies in some cruel style but as I said, I can't really blame him. At least he didn't kill his friend, Kakashi,  even though he was the one who took Rin's life in the end. But it wasn't Kakashi's fault either. The main misconception happened as Rin jumped in front of Kakashi's Chidori so she'd die and the war would come to an end!

5. FullMetal Alchemist - Roy vs Envy

A man can be cruel to each other sometimes but when someone hurts the man's friends, then that someone has to face some serious consequences. This lesson was not learned by the homunculus who dared to kill Roy's dearest friends.

When Roy finally faced one of the homunculi who killed his best friend, the usually calm and friendly chief became a dealy, cruel person who makes his enemy's days into burning hell. The homunculi, Envy messing up with our boy, Roy, so he had to experience the burning torture again and again.

4. Hunter x Hunter - Gon vs Pitou

Gon was super angry at this cat girl named Pitou, but we never expected that Gon, a sweet, joyful boy can get this angry and cruel. SO UNLIKE GON! Pitou kills Kite who was a mentor figure for Gon, more mentor figure than his dad will ever be.

So in short, Gon has a very big reason to be angry at Pitou. When he finally confronted her, he didn't hesitate to use his new power which made his body much stronger and it basically destroyed Pitou's entire body. However, it also destroyed Gon's body as well. It is definitely one of the most fascinating scenes from the entire anime series.

3. Hellsing - Seras vs Zorin

Even the sweetest, cutest girls can lose their cool sometimes and believe me when I tell you Seras's reason for losing it. So first thing, she has a big trauma from her childhood then she was turned into a vampire. After that, Seras had to fight against the monster named Zorin and she defeated the lad BADLY!

2. Dragon Ball Z - Goku vs Frieza

One of the most epic anime moments, the moment which everyone remembers and those who were very young at that age just heard the legend about a man who shouted loud enough to turn his hair yellow, Goku.

Seriously, I talk about the moment when Goku got angry at Frieza because he killed Krillin by blowing him up. So, Goku just couldn't take it anymore and he powered up to become the legendary Super Saiyan to beat up a villain who killed his friends, family, and other innocent people. Frieza didn't see that coming. Dang.

1. Berserk - Guts vs Demons

Perhaps one of the most iconic, brutal rage moments in the history of anime and manga. Guts was not really famous before because he was a calm man, but his rage in that scene is legendary.

Let me tell you. So this story is happening in dark fantasy, and it is dark fantasy because in this world, fairies and other cute creatures may exist, but ugly demons, and monsters, too.

It is really hard to trust someone and for Guts, it is even harder because he had experienced a lot of betrayal in his childhood. But his life becomes happier when he finally finds a friend, Griffith, and a girl who he loves, Casca.

So after all this, it is not surprising that when he got betrayed and they started to torture Casca, and that's where Guts got so angry that he literally cut his arms off so he can have a slight chance to save her. Talk about being overpowered.
